S3 works the same Im on a none Samsung phone and get all my notifications what ever apps I choose except for whatsapp, I also use SP the Gear app performes the same

Nope, Samsung Pay works at a lot more places. It will work at most places even if it doesnt have NFC payment.

The most important question will be, Will Gear S3 Samsung Pay work right away with Oreo.

Actually Samsung pay doesn't need NFC terminal so it works pretty much everywhere when compared to Apple or Android pay. It's cool but I can leave with Android or Apple pay not a deal breaker not having Samsung pay.

Even if Samsung Pay didn't use MST, Android Pay wouldn't work in more places. If a place has NFC, then both will work. There aren't places that take Android pay but not Samsung Pay. All of that is moot though, as Samsung Pay does use MST and works almost everywhere.

I bought my Google Pixel 2 phone switching from Apple iPhone and have been enjoying it as of yet. I just recently bought the Samsung Gear Sport smartwatch only to today discover that I am unable to get Samsung Pay and that the device doesn't accept Android Pay. Feel a bit annoyed as it wasn't very well advertised that way. Does anyone know if the Samsung Gear Sport will adopt the Android Pay so that I can utilize the NFC capabilities?

It should work. You need to install Samsung Gear and then from in there you can install Samsung Pay. Works great on my Gear S3.

I'd be surprised if Samsung ever added an Android Pay app to the Galaxy App Store and allowed Android Pay on the Gear Sport. They want to promote their own payment system. That being said, as mentioned above, you should be able to install Samsung Pay through the Samsung Gear app on your phone and use Samsung Pay via NFC on the Gear Sport. I got a Gear S3 Frontier for Christmas to use with my Pixel 2 XL and I'm able to use Samsung pay on the watch with no issue.
