Samsung pay with new chip cards

So I have used Samsung pay before with all of my chip cards and today at CVS I used one and after it processed I had to physically insert that card in their chip reader!! What's the point in using my phone to pay when I have to then dig my card out of my wallet to insert it in the reader??

Sam here, and....it was at CVS. Seems to be their policy i guess :-(

That is just ridiculous!!

Sounds like CVS. I go to Walgreens, gas stations, Walmart, etc. and it just goes through then I walk out.
