Samsung Pay with WA2

Hello, I've been using Samsung pay a lot more on my Note 10+. I love the fact that it uses MST instead of NFC. My question is which technology does the new Watch Active 2 use?
Would be disappointed if it's not using MST

Yea it's a bit unfortunate and why I'm still using my gear S3. Would love to try the active 2 but I'm undecided for that reason.

I don't see the logic behind removal of MST from the post S3 Samsung Smartwatches.
The only thing I can imagine is weight and volume savings.

maybe it has to do with weight and size of the watch so no room for it. in addition since they keep track of usage, maybe not enough was using it to make it worth the extra cost.
