samsung phone turned dead while updating software

HI,
i hi, i just update software for my samsung galaxy 7 edge and its turned to dead phone suddenly! and now i cant open my phone at all and it has been 2 hours my phone in dead. what happened and what should i do? please advise..:（I try to recharge, not response till this moment too.

Welcome to Android Central! Let the phone charge undisturbed for at least 6 hours. Then, in case the phone is frozen on a blank screen, press and hold Power and Vol Down for about 20 seconds to force a shutdown. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold Power for another 20 seconds to see if it turns on. If it doesn't, then something presumably failed during the update, which unfortunately probably bricked the phone as well.

what kind of update? It's been awhile since an update was pushed to the S7 Edge.

I just recieved an update today. seems minor. Added some animated texting bull****. The update was about 400 mb. seems like a lot

Got mine today. They put back custom ringtones for txt messaging. Hooray!

AT&T sent me this update today. I swear everything about my phone is sluggish now. I know it's almost 3 generations old now but prior to this update it was fine.

Got a similar update for TMO at the beginning of October , weighing in around 350 megs. It sure slowed my phone down.

Looks like they enabled some Gear VR apps i had disabled and/or deleted from the previous updates. Disabled them and hoping that helps battery life.
