Time to upgrade my old note 4 to note 7. Just read a post from Reddit. Samsung released a wireless charger with a type c port in their korean official website. But can not find this charger from Samsung US Official website. See photo:

They use a A-C cable, so the new flagship hone should be a type c port , to compatible with the wall charger they carry. Phonearena also reported that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to employ a Type-C USB port.

I guess that adds credibility to the ongoing rumor that the Galaxy Note7 will have a USB-C port.

Could someone explain to me, why you'd need a new, or difference port style, wireless charger if you're not plugging it into the port?

I guess it's to make sure that it will be compatible with all their future devices.

New charger time. I will still use my fast wireless charger I have at home for wireless charging.

"Adaptive Fast Charging" on USB C. Hmm. Ok Sammy, how exactly does it work?

This is just another optional charging accessory. Existing Samsung wireless chargers should of course still work as the port is irrelevant for wireless. I think the idea is to have one charging dock that can charge multiple devices whether they are wireless (up to 2 devices) or wired (with USB-C).
