My Note 8 is having problems with touch screen responsiveness in some areas it's completely dead to touch input. Ive contacted Samsung and as phone is under warranty, they said send it in as free repair. I've never dealt with Samsung for any service or warranty repairs. my concern is the screen has the tiniest hairline crack across it, generally cannot even notice it when using phone. Question is will Samsung try to charge me a cracked or broken screen fee after receiving it?

I've had 2 dealings with Samsung, sent in my Note 4 for a speaker issue and the service was fast and painless, 2nd time there was a hairline crack on my wife's Gear Fit 2 with no apparent cause, emailed Samsung and they wouldn't touch it!

I've not sent anything to them for repair as I've had my.phones through my carrier TMobile. With a hairline crack, unfortunately there's a good chance they will not repair it as they probably will consider it damaged.
