Samsung Repair has lost my phone

So let me start off from the beginning. My Galaxy S6 Edge, 32GB phone had been experiencing some issues such as:
1. Overheating
2. Camera auto-focus screeching noise
3. Audible static noise coming from internal speakers
4. Battery draining way fast, even on standby mode
5. Hanging/freezing of nearly all apps on phone (my phone isn't rooted)

So, I contacted Samsung via their live chat and told the person about the problems and he/she said that they will book in a repair, they said UPS will be picking up my phone on Friday 15th Sept., so I waited on that day, at 7pm I got a update on the tracking website that they have had to postpone the pick up till the next business day, so I said fine and waited, Monday 25th Sept. rolls around and I wait again, at about 5:30pm I start contacting UPS and Samsung say where the F** are you people at, I've missed 2 day off work now for this, both, UPS and Samsung are confused (so bloody un-professional) so I tell them to cancel everything and start again fresh.
Now I've taken off my 3rd day and waited for them, UPS man FINALLY! arrives at my house and picks up the phone, and gives a receipt for acknowledgment that someone had picked it up. I said thank god and closed the door.
Today (21/09) I get a ring from Samsung support saying they have received my phone but it looks like someone has cut out the phone from the box and taken it. (I have hard-reset my phone so there is no longer any tracking etc. I can perform to find it and also there are no passwords for security). They don't know when this happened but they're raising a internal investigation along with UPS about it but I won't get any acknowledgement of it as its internal.
So.. she says someone will ring tomorrow about either getting me my original model back (S6 Edge) or a upgrade (S7, S7), she said I cannot however get a S8, Note8 (I forgot to ask why).

So, I need your guys help to see if I can get a S8 out of this instead of the older S7. I'm just not that good at negotiating with people, is there anything I can say to sway them or pressure them into getting me the S8? I will mention all the stuff that's happened to me but are there any tricks or anything that would be in my favour?
(Also my phone is still under warranty - till next year (2018) April.)

UPS would be liable, I assume, for replacement, but that would be something of like value. I would consider myself lucky to get a new S7e.
