Android Central Question

So I bought a Samsung Galaxy S10 back in August currently its March, it has recently acted up when I try to charge it. So I put the feature where it shows you how much time you will need to charge on your front screen. Right so when I go to plug it in, the time will change and even then it seems to long a time to leave it for charging and it always varies greatly. I will plug it in and it will say initially that it will be completely charged in 8hrs then suddenly it will switch and say it will charge in 30hrs or sometimes it will say it will charge in 6 hrs and then changes to 24hrs. It does charge however very slowly I'll get to 1% in like 2 or 3 hrs. This pattern continues to happen and when this happens I simply keep plugging the charger in and taking it out until I can get it as low as I can. I also just blow on the port of the phone and the output thingy and it sometimes helps. The lowest it goes is 2hrs and then switches to 4 or 5 hrs. I have the feeling its the charger however as far I can tell there's no damage to it. At this point I'm debating buying a wireless charger. If anyone knows why this is happening please help.

Welcome to Android Central.

Have you regularly let the battery drain to only 1%? If so, you don't need a new charger, you need a new battery. Letting it drain as low as it can for 7 months would have destroyed the battery.

Welcome to Android Central! I had an LG G3 that would do that, with various chargers and with factory resets and restarts. Nothing seemed to be a permanent solution - just temporary fixes. I too would recommend trying to use a different charger to see if that changes anything.

Do you have any kind of device protection/insurance on your S10? Was it new when you bought it?

Keep us posted on what happens!
