Samsung S10 suddenly keyboard hide half of the screen that doesn't slide up

[Android Central Question]

when I try to edit a post or make a new post on IG, i push on the text, the keyboard open and cover the text behind. Suddenly I don't know why the screen doesn't slide up when the keyboard appears. I have samsung S10, I tried to re-update instagram, I can't uninstall it completely because is embedded on S10. I tried to empy all the caches: Ig, keyboards, and so on. I tried to force the arrest of keyboards and ID, I tried to install google keyboards, same pb... very annoying...

I'm not an instagrammer so I don't use the app but with Gboard I am able to open a post's comment area and scroll through the comments. My keyboard opens when I touch the typing area but when I scroll it minimizes until I touch it again. This doesn't cause the comments to recede, they stay where they are and the keyboard just reopens. If I set the keyboard to floating the keyboard simply becomes translucent and the background scrolls and the keyboard reappears.

Perhaps if you provided a screenshot of the situation when this occurs it would help us visualize better what the issue is.

Have you tried clearing cache , force stop Instagram?

Going along with mustang7757 on this, I guess we missed an important question which is, does this happen in other apps? If it is only happening in IG it could an issue with IG. If it happens across the board in all apps then that would point to the keyboard itself. Another thing that kind of points to IG is the fact that you've tried other keyboards with the same result. Meaning it probably isn't a defect in the keyboard or a bad setting in the keyboard.

Since you can't uninstall IG if clearing the cache and data don't yield good results you could uninstall the updates for the app. Try it for a time and possibly install the updates again.
