Samsung S2 with Moto Z Force?

I currently have a Samsung S7 Edge paired with a Samsung S2 Classic. I am considering the Moto Z Force. Anyone who switched from a Samsung device to the Moto have the S2?

I know the watch will work with a non-Samsung device, I am just wondering if I will lose any functionality

I had an S2. It will pair with the z but you will lose a lot of functions. You won't receive all notifications. My advice is to sell it and get a Moto 360

thanks, I had the Moto 360 before, and the LG watch, but I greatly prefer Samsung's implementation.. I was hoping it was the just the watch, but I guess there is some phone magic built in

I liked the s2 sport because it was water proof. Which is very nice. Didn't have to take it off to wash my hands. I like the idea of a smartwatch but just end up getting rid of them.

I still get text and email notifications. Can still do most of the voice stuff. Not ever having it paired with a Samsung phone I can't say what you lose but it works fine for what I need.

I like the functions better on the s2 but like the better Google integration on the 360.

well I never use my voice on the watch, so that should work.
