Samsung s20 & Tab s8+ SMS sync

Looked around and couldn't find exactly what I was after.

So I have my mobile and tablet synced through the Samsung calls and text link. Also have Samsung Flow.

SMS is received on both devices so that is good. But when I delete a text from one of the devices, it doesn't delete from the other.

Is there a way to have Samsung Messages continuously sync? Trying to steer away from Google Messages or 3rd party apps if I can.

I notice not only that on my S7+, but also if I read the text on my phone, it is not marked as read on my tablet; so I end up having a notification badge that I can only clear by opening each text message. This can be quite annoying if I have had multiple messages...

Exactly! Surely there's a better way of it working given it's Samsung to Samsung.

My Tab S7+ and my S22 Ultra just got updates today, and it seems like the messages are now syncing.

Hopefully you guys on the Tab S8s will get the same updates soon.

Unfortunately no change for me. Samsung Messages not syncing.

If you're a Verizon customer you can use Message+ and the phone doesn't need to be near or even on. You will need to set it up with Message+ on both devices but once set up you can make your app of choice the default on the phone and it will still work.
