Samsung S4: Cannot enter a long name when creating a contact

[AC Question]

Hi, I've just bought a Samsung S4 phone.
When I enter a new contact, only short names are accepted.

Somebody told me it was an issue related to SIM vs phone memory contact directory:
I am supposed to change the directory location to phone memory, but I don't know how to do it.

When setting up a contact you can choose what it saves to at the top (see below for an example).
