Samsung S4 Freezes have to press middle button

my s4 keeps freezing and the only way i can get it back is to press the middle button on my ohone and it takes me back to the home screen. i have restored my phone back to factory settigns andit was fien for about 2 days but has started to do it again. i have had my phone for about a year now.
