Samsung S5 and will not connect to most wifi hot spots

[Android Central Question]

My Samsung S5 will not connect to most wife hot spots I click on the wi-fi link connect to say the leisure center public wi-fi and it goes to the google screen where you would sign in, but it comes up unable to load page. I go back forget network and try again and again and again but the page always fails to load. Yet everyone else can load the page and sign in? My wifi works at home and work and any private network I need a password for, just free networks, nothing happens?

Welcome to Android Central! When you say it goes to the Google screen, is it in the browser, or are you getting a separate popup screen with that login page?

Go to Settings>Apps​ and make sure CaptivePortalLogin isn't disabled.

Try opening the stock Samsung browser and not Chrome. Also try opening a webpage you rarely visit as the browser might be trying to open a page that's cached.
