So here is the issue, While playing music on my phone and taking video, the mic sounds muffled and horrible. Yet while if I have music playing from another phone to mine its completely fine, even if its right next to the mic? This issue only happens when the sound is coming from the phone itself?

Are you referring to the mic (at the bottom of the phone where you speak into), the earpiece (where you listen when on a call) or the speaker (speakerphone and music)? Your post is a little confusing... a muffled mic would mean that someone on a phone call with you would be complaining that they can't hear you very well...

Im not sure which mic it is exactly, but lets just have a example. Lets say im listening to music in my truck, ok? Yeah the the audio sounds perfectly fine when recorded on my phone. BUT lets say im playing music and then try to record audio/video, it sounds horrible and muffled.

Clear as mud. Sounds like you are trying to play music AND record stuff simultaneously?? Have I got that right?

Well, if you have music coming from the Speaker and you then activate the mic to record stuff, the mic mixes what comes from speaker with the ambient noise and the mixture sounds ****e. I wasnt aware you could even do that to be honest.

The phone is probably trying its best to compensate for "all the background noise" when you're speaking using the noise cancellation. Try keeping the music playing, but turn the volume down.... a LOT.... then try recording again. See if it clears up. This would be a good test to see if it's the mic or just the noise cancellation.
