Samsung S6 Galaxy microphone does not work on phone calls

[AC Question]

My S6 microphone stopped working during a phone call. I am still able to use the speaker phone while making phone calls or my bluetooth without an issue. I've done a factory reset but cannot take the phone apart to look at it. I've also used a paperclip to try to clean the microphone hole but it still doesn't work.

Welcome to Android Central! If you're pretty sure the mic opening is clear, then the mic itself has probably failed. Is it still under warranty?
