Samsung S7 edge download mode unavailable

When I try to use the combination of volume down + home + power key to enter download mode it fails. As long as I push the keys down, nothing will happen and as soon as I release them my phone will restart and then go to "installing system update" and after a while it also fails with "no comment" error. The whole process start again. I can't turn off the phone. As long as there is battery it will go through this loop. Naturally there is no access to other modes like safe mode or recovery mode and there is no way to enter the android OS.

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the firmware or hardware might have completely failed. It's a 6 year old phone, so this isn't that surprising. Did this just happen?

What do u mean it fails when you enter download mode it reboots? It gives a error ?

A few days ago my phone stopped working and I couldn't enter OS or even recovery mode but I had access to download mode so I tried to fix it by using Odin and installing a new firmware but it gave me "writing failed" error and from that time I can not enter download mode in order to try it again. And when I said it fails to enter download mode I meant it doesn't reboot or anything as long as I keep the keys down but after I release the keys it will reboot and go back to installing system update part and stuck in an endless loop of reboot and installing system update untill battery dies

Main thing it has to get to download mode so you can Odin the stock firmware with frija tool .

Try with cable connected to computer with volume down and power same time then volume up to continue in download mode

Thank you. I did what you suggested but it is not working. My phone restart every few seconds as long as I keep the keys down. Also since I can't turn on the phone, my laptop can't recognise the device.

I don't know why but just for once I succeed to enter download mode by pressing volume down home and power. When I tick BL in Odin it will pass, when I tick BL and AP it gives me write operation failed error. When I remove AP but tick CP it gives me "can't open the serial com port" error.

Hello so you put the firmware in all 4 slots ?

Also use Frija firmware tool from xda to fetch the latest firmware for your device

Yes I first put the firmware in all 4 slots but next in order to find which slot gives me which specific error I remove the ticks and add and try them one by one. ( I encountered error when I ticked all slots at the beginning) About Frija I tried to find the most correct choice of firmware but since I can't turn on the phone there was no way for me to find the CSC and select other manual choices so I found the model from mobile box and choose the CMC according to region and tick the auto in Frija and it gives me a firmware that supposedly should be the right one.

When you extract the firmware
Ap firmware goes to Ap Odin
Bl firm goes to Bl odin
CSC firmware go to CSC odin
Cp firmware goes to Cp Odin

Don't tap the buttons next to each slot to search for firmware because sometimes if you download multiple firmware can grab wrong one , drag to the Odin slots one by one if it shows failed 0/1 try different usb or Known good cable thats a must and dont touch any options in odin under its settings

I did the same way you mentioned but right now I encounter write operation error and I don't know why.

To make it worse a new error appeared on my phone screen which should be solved first before I can try Odin again. It says
"An error has encountered while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software."
I installed Smart Switch on my laptop but it can't recognise the phone.
It says "device needs time to initialise if it has been restarted." But there is no initialisation when there is no booting or anything. It just stuck on this error as soon as I connect the phone to power or to the laptop and it doesn't go any further.
