Samsung S7 long press assignment?

It seems that the latest nougat update has changed my long press on the home button to the "new and "improved" Google search which only responds to voice and not text input. Is there any way to change it back to the normal Google search app where I can choose voice or text input? It seems that the button assignment choices has changed on my S7 since this last update. Either I'm not seeing it in settings anymore or it's moved. Any insight into outmaneuvering Google's forced changes?

Don't think there is a way to change it.

You can use the Google app. You can also use a launcher with gestures. I have mine set to open with a double tap.

Assistant is kind of annoying. But it's not a nougat update, it's a Google app update.
