Samsung S7 won't stay powered off

[Android Central Question]

When I power off my Samsung S7, it instead reboots. That is to say, it never stays off. It just turns itself back on. This also happens when it runs out of power, going through a reboot loop when I'd rather it stay off to charge if the power source is weaker than I'd like.

How do I actually keep the S7 from turning itself back on immediately after turning off?

Welcome to Android Central! The Power button might be faulty, stuck in a pressed state. Bring it to a repair shop to see if they can do something about it.
