Samsung S8 - getting pop up msg when trying to save in photo editor - WONT SAVE EDITS

[Android Central Question]

So i have almost 40g of free space internal storage, i do have an SD card inserted that is almost full, but i have my photos being saved to the internal storage so that shouldnt matter. but when i try to edit a photo in photo editor i get that pop up at the bottom "Cant use save. Delete some files or uninstall unused apps, then try again." I have other photo editing apps on my phone which are allowing me to save.

Welcome to Android Central! Is there an option in the photo editor app to save to the SD card by default? If so, can you change it to internal storage?
