I think that instead of DeX being essentially a differently formatted OneUI, they should make a new version which treats the tablet as a laptop so you can get the proper PC apps instead of the mobile ones that are just made to look like a PC one. Essentially what I'm saying is either put windows on the tablets and treat it like a laptop, like a surface which is a laptop that can be a tablet, or make their own PC OS or whatever they can do to make it android based. Just make it into a laptop that can act as a tablet instead of a tablet that can act as a laptop.

They had that with the old Galaxy Book, but went in a different direction.

Until the new DeX allows you to match the resolution of a portable monitor or extend the screen with a different resolution like classic does there will always be classic DeX. No one wants to plug into a monitor and use only a portion of it. that's the whole reason why I have a samsung phone is so I can use the full tv screen via DeX to stream a movie. When you hook new DeX to a portable monitor it mirrors the screen in the same resolution as the tablet rather than having 2 separate screens with 2 separate resolutions. new DeX is only for when you want to only use the tablet screen and in that I agree with you works very well.
