I'm getting the Samsung watch 4 for my wife for Christmas on contract, she has a smart watch not on contract will thr old watch disconnect as soon as I get the contract watch? Hoping to keep it a secret till Christmas

The old watch will remain connected to the phone until you activate the new watch by connecting it to the phone.
