I have the S3 which I have had for many years and has been great.
It has been getting a little clunky and laggy but still does the job.
I looked at the S6 and wondered if anyone had an opinion if there would be a noticable benefit. I'm not interested in the keyboard and use it mostly for games, texting, emailing, surfing and very light business use.
Does the 2 extra RAM in the 256 help performance?

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Galaxy Tab (for the ancient original Tab) to the Tab S6 forum for more specific traffic.

I have had a 3. I now have 4 and a 6 and with both of those they will be faster and you have better sound with the stero speakers.

I came from the S3 (still have it for the wife). The S6 IS noticeably faster and easier to use.
I also have a Note 10+ that pairs very nicely with my S6, which makes life easier.
At first, I thought that I would not be as happy but I was wrong.
Make the switch, you'll be very happy too.
Not to mention better (more) storage and faster everything inside.

My S3 was so slow and battery life was horrible. Also only 32gb storage. I barely had any apps and it was more than half full. The S6 is a considerable upgrade in every single way.
