Can anyone else verify this? I have used NFC on my Nexus 4 for wallet and sharing things but for some reason they cant read the samsung tectlies or program them... My GNex does but not the Nexus 4. Anyone else having this problem?
Update:
So I did a little research and it turns out that h NFC chip within the Nexus 4 is completely diffrent than the ones in almost every other android device. This means we cant write NFC tags based off of samsungs tectiles hardware/software.
first Broadcom nfc controller chips in Google Nexus 4 | nfc-phones.org
NFC tags; Tectiles, SmartTags, Tag+, Mifare and much more | nfc-phones.org
I dont know why google would choose this tech, I mean maybe its more open? but nothing is commercially available for this and I really did enjoy using the samsung tectiles technology. Now it seems it was a waster of money.... Im no pro at understanding al of the info on those sites I provided but as the end user it sucks. What do you guys think?
