Actually, that's a far stretch. They didn't just 'figured out' the stacking part without changing size. They're stacking the layers but they ARE smaller, otherwise they wouldn't fit in about the same size as current-gen chips. But it is pretty cool, actually. Not only for smartphones, but tablets and (if they somehow survive) laptops.
