Samsung update paused/not installed

[Android Central Question]

It's finished downloading and stuck on please wait. (I have the screenshot) I've been through several trouble shooting steps and I'm working on a safe mode attempt to install it now.

My next step will be rooting and/or full system restore to back up. #5+

Anything I'm missing? S10+ with a custom nova launcher.

The only thing the site is missing (I sent them an email) is that you can't update a rooted phone. (If it's rooted, you have to completely unroot first.)
