Samsung update today.

This morning I received a notification for a Samsung update on my Verizon S5. Does anybody know the particulars on this update? Maybe it has to do with the recent Verizon 4.4.4 update that I haven't yet received?

Yes I am talking about the Samsung update not the Verizon one. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the update addresses? While I trust a Samsung update more than a Verizon update I still don't like blindly accepting any update.

Yeah, me too. I saw the notice and refused the update.

I'm going to wait a few days and see how it goes for those who let it update.

I never received a Samsung update. Is it a Samsung account update? If so those come out every now and then and never cause any problems on any of my devices.

There are two separate updates. One is the Verizon 4.4.4 update. The other is a Samsung services update.

4.4.4 is the Last ever update on Kitkat
So when L is rolled out people can make a choice to stay or go to L
There can be alot as some missed the other 4.4.2 which has the camera option to make the V+ an V- a zoom switch plus the bug fixes
so there might be alot
Some Networks have jumped on the band wagon with Bloatware so be carful

DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!!! My screen was working fine before I updated. Then as soon as I did, the touch part doesn't work at all. I can see the screen but it won't let me unlock OR even restart. I ignored the update but then it popped up again an hour later so I decided to do it. BUT DO NOT UPDATE!!! I had to go into the AT&T store to get a new one.

Go into Recvery mode and do a wipe cache and Factory reset
There is a Screen driver update in 4.4.2 that AT&T may of missed but its deff on 4.4.4
If this Fails open Kies and do a Firmware update reanitioalization this will re download and re instal the firmware just in case its messed up
