Samsung Watch 3 - text messages

I can get text messages on both my Samsung phone and watch, however, when i turn my phone off, the watch bluetooth is severed with the phone and it switches automatically to mobile service.
Once it does this, all my old text messages start popping up on my watch.
It starts beeping for every message it is downloading or processing/updating.
I don't want this to happen. I already read those messages on my phone, but it downloads it to my watch beeping for every text message...driving me crazy.

Well...hi! I know this is an old topic, but I'm having this issue, again! a few minutes after leaving bluetooth from phone....watch starts receiving old messages that I've already received. This only occurs when i'm using at&t number sync. For the longest time, I used my LTE Galaxy Watch 3 from my personal acccount, with my android phone that's using my company's at&t sim. It of course couldn't utilize the number sync. Now, fast forward to now, where I have my watch and phone synced using at&t number sync...its only now I start getting the old messages when I disconnect from bluetooth. I had this issue years ago, but now know its only while connected to at&t number sync. Anyone else? Got to be a fix right? Thanks...from an old ambassador here :-D

Sorry to bounce this around, but I realized that this thread had been moved to the Gear S3 forum, but the OP was asking about the Galaxy Watch3. Since we don't have a specific subforum for the Watch3, I moved it to the Galaxy Watch forum.

Yeah put it to gear watch 3 incase someone there could help as we don't have watch 3 Forum
