Samsung Wireless Charger Stand

It's supposed to be fast charging but it seems slow, compared to my old Pixel fast charging. Does anyone else use this charger? It's the straight stand one from Samsung, not the convertible. Does a straight connection via USB-C charge faster?

All fast charging of phones will differ. My iPhone 8 Plus charges at half the speed of my Galaxy S8 Plus. I have both the stand up and convertible Samsung chargers and my S8 Plus charges quicker on the stand up charger. It also depends on the case you use. Some cases won't even work with the chargers. The heavier the case the slower it will charge is what I found. Straight connection to USB-C will always be the fastest way to charge.

Thanks. Thought it was busted. I use an ultra thin clear case that's bendable. some cheapo case I got at best buy that works for me lol. Think it's made by Insignia.

iam using samsung fast wireless charger it charges my Note 8 fast...i donno if pixel ever had wireless charging

I didnt take a serious statistic on it but it took roughly from ~30% to ~70% in an hour an a half. Noticeably slower than the Pixel but the Pixel was hardwired for charging. The Pixel wouldve been full in that time. If that's considered fast charging, i can't imagine how a standard wireless charger would perform.

Any of the fast wireless chargers only charge 1.4 times faster than those that are regular chargers which are notoriously slow. You will always get the fastest charge with wall charging, but for overnight charging wireless charging of any kind is fine.

I have found that the free Samsung wireless charger runs warmer than another generic fast wireless charger without a fan.Why, I don't know. They both seem to charge at about the same speed. The difference is most noticeable when the phone is fully charged and sitting on the charger. The phone comes off the Samsung charger always warm, no matter how long it sits, whereas it is cool coming off the generic charger after it sits there fully charged for an hour.
