How can I take the pattern off if I forgot it I still have my fingerprint to get in it but I cannot take the pattern off or reset it

Welcome to Android Central! I think the pattern works the same as a password or PIN -- i.e. you have to remember that in order to change it or remove it. @mustang7757 might have more insight, since I'm more accustomed to Pixels.

Right, but does Samsung have any tricks for how to change or recover that pattern if you forgot it? Or is the only solution a factory reset from the Recovery Menu?
