Awhile ago, I guess, Samsung put a product out - BT S Pen for the Note 2. It's model #5100 NOT the current S pen that comes with N2's. It is bluetooth capable. I want to know if the Tab 2 has the digitizer (sp??) in it like the Note 2 to make this pen work on it? Thank you.

Probably not. The S Pen from my Note II doesn't work on it.

Even the bluetooth keyboard I have is flaky. Not sure if being bluetooth will have a different effect.

rgarcia - you've tried to use your current S Pen from the Note on the Tab 2 10.1 is what you are saying and that it does not work in it? Ok if so, I understand. I think I want the BT S pen because it's Bluetooth but would kind of defeat a lot more use purposes if that's all it can do, huh? AHAHAHA!! Geek girl and her gadgets.

And you've tried using a Bluetooth keyboard on the GT2 and it does not work greatly either? Wow.

The only pen that will work on this tablet are those regular Capacitive pens that you can buy at like Best Buy / Wal-Mart or other retail store... No S-Pen will work unfortunately.. would've been ideal though.

Yeah, I used my Note II S-Pen and will not work. Bluetooth keyboard from ebay is flaky, it skips and goes to sleep in about 1-2 minutes...

And the reason is rgarcia... which I am finding out as I read and read and interpret, is that the Note products have the digitizer screen and the Tab products do not. I saw a how-to video in my research as well as digitizer screens for sale. I purchased the wrong tablet for what I THINK I want to do, which is BT S pen usage. I should have picked up a Note 10.1 tablet which the that pen and stylus do work with as well as the Note phones.

I own this pen and so far, one phone call later, I can't wait to get a device this actually works with. Phone call was crisp and pretty ok on my end as for hearing the other party. Was in a very quiet setting though. I'm trying to drain it and charge it to see how long a charge lasts. Paired well with both current Galaxy devices.
