Purchased a Sandisk 3.0 USB to Micro - was told it would work in my N-8 but it doesn't recognize it. Is there a Flash Drive that the N-8 will read without a cable.

Just get one that is USB (most likely 3.0) to USB-C instead of micro. They have them on Amazon and I just added one to my wishlist last night that was a SanDisk.

Didn't you get a usb dongle I your phone box? One that connects to phone and offers a female usb port?

If you have a case on your phone, make sure the usb-c end will fit into the opening. I have an Defender and the Sandisk Ultra 64GB Dual Drive USB Type-C - SDDDC2-064G-G46 style didn't fit but the Patriot Stellar-C Type-C/USB 3.1 64GB Flash Drive (PIF64GSTRCOTG) style did.
Side note...the Patriot on is acting up on me. Can't move files to it after having it 2 weeks and can't format it now. going to try with the wife's laptop when/If I can get an off day.

Oh....disregard my last post. I thought you were talking about the flash drive types.
The OP was talking about the flash drive type.

I had the same issue with the adapter that came with my phone- way too far and short to plug in with my Speck case. On the search for other options now.

I bought one and it works great. My old one USB to micro even with adapter wouldn't work anymore.

Did you get the SanDisk Ultra? I was wondering if the USB-C side was long enough and the case part not too fat to fit into my phone with the Speck Presidio Grip case.
