Save Phone Data

I'm new to the thunderbolt and rooting it, but is there any method that will allow me to keep my personal data (apps, settings, etc). When i rooted my old droid it kept my data but all the methods for the thunderbolt warn that you will lose all data.

Everything on your sd card, pics music and stuff will stay. Your contacts will stnc, and installed Apps should be redownloaded, but you'll have to start angry birds over dude.

Launchers like adw let you backup your layout and settings for adw on the sd card and should be fine
