Saved/Downloaded images stopped going into the "Download" images folder in Gallery

So I downloaded these 2 pictures from websites I go on Chrome and luckily these 2 pictures show up on the "Download" images folder in my Gallery. However, from then on, for some reason when I try saving/downloading other images, these images don't direct to the "Download" images folder anymore.. it's so frustrating. I can only find the recent image I saved/downloaded when I go to the "Downloads" app.......but I want the image I recently saved/downloaded to go into the "Download" images folder in my Gallery.

Can someone please help? It's much appreciated!

EDIT: Okay, so I restarted my Galaxy S4 and NOW the image I recently downloaded/saved is located in my "Download" images folder in my Gallery...so weird...i don't want to have to restart my phone every time though....errrrrrr

It might be that the Gallery app refreshes only infrequently. You might want to consider QuickPic, which is a really nice and lightweight gallery app. Maybe it will refresh more quickly.

Samsung Tab A suddenly stopped showing downloaded photos in Gallery. After going insane trawling through various "fixes" and getting nowhere, FINALLY found (on this forum) the solution. So simple. STOP USING DEFAULT GALLERY APP. DOWNLOAD QUICK PIC, AND ENABLE SHOW HIDDEN FILES IN MENU. HEY PRESTO, DOWNLOAD FILE APPEARS IN ALBUMS!! Thanks so much for the tip.
