Saving MMS from Hangouts

I can't figure this out for the life of me. In the old messaging app you pressed and held it. But the option doesn't come up in hangouts.
Any help would be appreciated!

Click the picture. Then look in the upper right hand corner. You will see three dots. Click on it and press save.

I have tried this process but do NOT get the 3 dots even when I pull down from the top and can see the date. Turned phone off and back on still same result. Any other ideas. Thanks
