Saving MMS Pictures

How do you all save MMS pictures?

- All the apps I see for this purpose save to a MicroSD chip...did I miss any that save to the Gallery?

- Which is the best MMS picture-saving app that you recommend?

- I posted the earlier thread about rooting...after reading it, I think I'll pass for now if there is a viable option to save the pictures off.

You misunderstand Gallery. You don't save pictures to it, it shows you all the pictures that are on the phone, internal and external storage. There's no "Gallery" folder.

When you're looking at the picture, long-press it. A menu should come up. If there's no "save", look for "share" and see if there's any way to save it there, like opening it in an app that can save it.

Rooting would be to save the picture to an external SD card in a folder another app created. Otherwise it doesn't have anything to do with this particular situation.

Yes, I know that the Gallery shows the pictures it finds on the phone. However, since it doesn't show MMS pictures, it follows that it doesn't see MMS pictures in the same manner as it sees regular pictures. Therefore, the pictures have to be saved somewhere first. My hope was that there was a place on the phone that an app could save the MMS pictures en masse automatically. I know how to individually save pictures, put I have too many to do one by one.

The apps that I see on the Google Play Store advertise pulling the MMS pictures and saving them to a MicroSD chip. I have a MicroSD chip, so that's not a problem, but I was hoping that there was an app that would save them instead onto the phone somewhere.

I was investigating rooting originally in order to have access to hidden folders on the phone, especially to pull the MMS and SMS messages and pictures. Since there seems to be an app that can at least pull the pictures from MMS, I'll forego rooting for now.

So...which of the many apps available do you recommend that pulls the pictures from MMS and saves to MicroSD quickly and effectively?

When I long press the picture I choose save attachment and check the box when it asks. Then then I go into the gallery I see the saved picture in the Download folder.

Yours doesn't have that?

Yes, I can do that as well. However, I'm looking for a method or an app that will save all of the MMS pictures at once, so that I don't have to go into every one of my messages, search for pictures, and then save them off individually. In other words, I want to bulk save them.

I think Mighty Text will save all of your MMS pics to Mighty Text. Then u can save it however u see fit from their web interface.
