Saving the home button

Is there a way to get back to the home screen without using the home button? . I am afraid it will wear. Out

I am using the Button Savior, and it been amazing. It is free and comes in root and no root version.
Peay around with the settings, you can have it appear with a swipe and disappear in 5 seconds or when you tap outside the button area.

I was also worried about wearing out the Home button and found the app Back Button. It works very well, it's free, and no root required.
