I'm using Chrome on various Android devices, including a Moto X, Nexus 5, and Galaxy Note 10.1. I like to save URLs of web sites I'm interested in to a folder in Dropbox, so I can access them from any device, including my PC's.
I've been doing this by clicking on Share in the browser and choosing Dropbox. I then get a popup, which lets me choose what folder in Dropbox I want the .url file to be placed, and then another popup that lets me name the file, something like WhateverSite.url.
However, as of a few days ago, when I try to do this in Chrome, instead of creating a .url file, Chrome creates an image file (.jpg) that shows part of the page from that URL. This is not what I want.
I've checked, and Dolphin does what I want, creates a .url file, but Chrome stubbornly keeps creating a useless .jpg instead of the .url file I want.
Has Chrome's behavior changed? Or have I just confused the behavior of the two browsers?
Either way, how can I get Chrome to save a .url file to Dropbox on an Android device?
