Say Hello to the Pixel and Pixel XL

Not surprising. I recall some speculation after the release of the Pixel C that we might see a Pixel phone.

What's wrong with the leaked specs?

The SOC and RAM are an upgrade, however everything else is a downgrade from the 6P. Mono speaker, downgrade. Smaller screen size, downgrade. For me those two things are deal breakers. I could deal with a mono speaker but, not a smaller screen size.

Now if these pixel rumors are true I'd expect the price to rival that of the 6P, or N6 (Shamu) which everyone complained about being too expensive. I hope Google gets back into the phablet game next year, otherwise I'll skip the pixel/nexus phone again.

Momo speakers are a big downgrade for me. I have a work iPhone and watching videos on that is terrible.

Screen size to me, 5.7 to 5.5 isn't too bad. The processor and RAM are fine on the 6P so it's an upgrade on paper but highly doubt we will see a difference in performance.

I just want to see storage configurations.

There forcing people to buy what they put out, maybe it will be phenomenal maybe it won't, I would like to see them keep Nexus around and still add the new pixel, at the same time I'm not to worried about it because I don't think they will give us something that's not an upgrade from the previous year, We will have to wait and see though.

Don't think a single person anywhere will be forced to buy a Pixel anything.

well we just have to wait a month before we see the presentation and get a real good look at these pixels...so are we holding the last nexi?

Forced as in that or nothing, and if people love Nexus that much then people will buy the pixel, why do you have to explain **** word for word for tech geeks to understand what your saying.

Because it's a simple point that is being missed. If you like what they put out, buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Choice is 100% up to each customer. The existence of these phones will have no bearing on the quality of any other devices.

Of course it'll have bearing on the quality of other devices, this whole eco system is Android and that started with the first Nexus. That was the whole point of Nexus to begin with.

so what will be these software features u think since from all indications we are no longer getting stock Android on these phones?

..there was Android before Nexus.

..there was Android before Nexus.

Google made Android and then put out Nexus to make sure developers and manufacturers stood within the boundaries of the Android UI so my guess the pixel will be a Nexus with added settings and some tweaks here and there
