Sorry I tried a search but didnt find a direct answer to my question and dont think sbf'ing is something I want to guess on lol

I have a droid x, in the system version it says I'm on 2.3.15 ...when I load up the bootloader, it says i'm on version 30.04.

So which sbf file do I need to use to get back to stock? I'm wanting to update to the new OTA 2.3.340 and then update to the new apex rom. Thanks in advance!

any way to do this without going to megaupload, rapidshare, etc? My work blocks all those sites and I have no home computer at the moment.

Not really. If you cant download the file on a work computer how are you going to be able to install the RSD Lite and run it? (assuming that your computer is locked down that way too) If you can install it then i can possibly get the file and upload it to my dropbox for you to download or even email possibly.

You can dl it right to the phone. Your problem will be doing the sbf without a computer like stated above.

Sent from my DROIDX

Can I use the same one if my bootloader is 30.03?...I have a droid x, in the system version it says I'm on 2.3.15

Go back up to my post vlade31 and use that sbf and then do the update to 2.2.1 (OTA update or update.zip) and the you should be at 30.04 and the new version i believe. Im new to how bootloader and sbfs work but from my understanding thats how that works.

I had no idea what the heck i was doing when i flash it the first time with the top one and it threw in into a flash screen and it wouldnt boot up. Come to find out that I needed the second link. If im correct, and i feel sure that I am, just flash it with the first link's SBF and then do the update.zip that everyone has floating around for the 2.2.1 update. if something happen after that then you should be at the 30.04 bootloader and you will need to use the second link. Thats if im understanding SBFs right. If you have any questions send me a PM and ill give you my email in cause you have any problems you can email me and i respond pretty quickly.

lol Ok so here goes my stupid story. For some reason, after reading too much, I was convinced that since I had bootloader 30.04 I could just flash to the full 2.3.320 sbf file. Rsd lite got to 99% then got stuck on the "loading RAM" stage, then failed. CRAP!

I quit rsd, unplugged the phone, and it got stuck on the SW update screen. Pulled the battery, restarted and then was stuck on bootloader screen for good. Bootloader said something like "code corrupt" ...

So I started up rsd, flashed the full 2.3.15 sbf, this time it completed and rebooted the phone. But it would still only load the bootloader screen. At least now the "code corrupt" message was gone, but it did show something like "er" with a bunch of numbers. Flashed 2.3.15 again but had the same result.

At this point I'm just about to give up. So I decide to go ahead and try flashing the system only sbf of 2.3.340...rsd completes it and reboots the phone. And thank god the phone actually rebooted! So now after doing it the hard and stupid way, I'm on 2.3.340. Just thought I'd share so someone else doesnt make my mistake.
