Scratched sim card

I lost all signal on my phone a couple of days ago. I thought that it was just that i hadn't payed my bill so i payed it , Still nothing. So today i was trying to get my sim card out to see if that would fix it and i saw scratches all over it. Is this the problem or is it a network issue.
I have a g3 running lollipop on bell mobility.

Welcome to Android Central! Are those actually scratches, or just oxidation marks or something like that?

Regardless, if you're getting no cell signal whatsoever, you should ask your carrier for a replacement SIM and see if that fixes it.
