Screen Dead

So, I don't know what exactly I did but the screen on my Maxx is not functioning as normal. It looks like it lost connection to the phone because all that comes up when I turn the phone on is something that looks similar to static on an old TV (but not moving). It looks like everything else is still working but since the screen is broken that obviously throws out the whole phone.

I unfortunately turned off USB mass storage and turned on charge only. Is there any way to force it into mass storage mode instead from my computer? I just wanted to try and get a few things off it before I bring it back to Verizon.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is a way to switch on the mass storage mode by pushing any combo of buttons. Did you try rebooting... press and hold the Volume Down button, then while that is held down press and hold the Power button, keep them both held down for about 15-20 seconds... then you should see the red Motorola symbol... your device will reboot.

Yeah, I did that and I could hear the bootup sound but the screen didn't change. Pretty sure its a hardware thing. My pictures were on the SD card though so that was all I cared about. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Question, when you do this reboot, will any data be lost? I tried it and my phone screen did not come back on. Only the 4 controls at the bottom light up and sometimes I get the back-light glow. Any other suggestions?

Thanks bradenfontaine,
I tried that long ago, but No screen visuals light up, mo menus,

Any other advice?
