Screen fades out in Galaxy S4 running Android 5.0.1 in less than 10 seconds

I recently upgraded to Android 5.0.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH - I337. My screen timeout setting is 1 minute. Whenever I scroll down from the top of the screen to look at my notifications, the screen fades out and locks in less than 10 seconds. I need to enter my PIN and then the home screen re-appears. I have tried out a few settings but this problem is persists. This does not give me enough time to look at all the notifications and is an irritant. Can someone help?

Go into system settings - display. From there you can adjust the time out settings for the screen and lick. Adjust it to your preference.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Search on Google Play for "Screen Timeout Toggle" app.
A home screen widget will allow to keep screen on as long as you like.
