Screen flickering issue Mi A2 Lite

A couple weeks ago, I noticed that my screen would flicker when it was below about 50% brightness and that it would stop flickering when above 50%. I now have a problem where the screen is flickering and I cannot adjust the brightness which seems to be stuck at 0%. I can just barely see the brightness slider and when i raise it, the brightness remains the same. I don't use adaptive brightness btw and I am also on Android 9 still. Has this happened to anyone else/ does anyone have any solutions?

Yes it does. But the situation has now changed back to what used to happen after I rebooted for the millionth time just now where it flickers below about 40% and doesn't above it. I can now adjust the slider again. But I worry that it will return to the way it was with me not being able to adjust it.

No I haven't

In that case, it's probably a hardware issue with the screen. You could do a factory reset just in case, but ultimately, you'll probably have to bring it to a repair shop.

I hope it's normal and I won't have to get it repaired if that's the case

No luck, honestly I can cope with the flickering, I just hope it doesn't go back to 0% brightness and gets stuck there

Like I mentioned , try a 3rd party brightness app and turn stock auto off see if that works out .
