Screen freaking out

I just got the shift for my wife. She wanted a keyboard and it seemed like the best option. About 4 days in it is acting up. The screen when you try to scroll between home screens get stuck and won't flip and becomes uncontrollable. Any idea what is going on? It basically becomes non responsive! help!!
