I bought my phone on release day, and now suddenly my screen is really messed up. From what i have read online it seems to be a somewhat common thing in a bunch of different phones. It clicks it's self, wont let me use the soft keys, and wont work at all some times. I have restarted it, pulled the battery, cleaned the screen, and even did a factory restore to it and nothing works.

As far as I have read it seems like my phone is just broken, my real question is: will sprint replace it for free? i adore this phone and paid a ton for it off contract and dont want to have to buy a new one or be stuck with a broken phone for a year or so until i can get new phone.

Thank you!

People loose sight of the fact it is a HTC device. Htc will replace it for free, Sprint will if you have insurance. If not it is a 35.00

the problem is that there is no HTC store and i kind of need the problem corrected right away. thanks for the info, I diddnt want to run down there for nothing.

i went to the sprint store and they replaced it after some bs

they started off by talking down to me and doing the same troubleshooting steps i did (that i told them beforehand i already had done) in twice the time. Then they handed it back to me and told me "we did a factory restore and our system says your good to go" i told them i already did that but the problem is that the phone would appear to work normal for a short period of time and then start acting up again. He assured me it was ok but said i could hang around for a while to make sure (i been up 22 hours and did not wanna wait around any longer) so i told them i trusted them (this was a mistake) and walked out the doors... 2 minutes later in the car it was back to its old habits, imagine that. Went back and they replaced it.

That being said, I walked in with a broken phone and walked out with a working one an hour or so later. So I'm happy.

I do tech support so I cannot blame Sprint for not trusting you. You will not believe how many times I asked."did you restart the computer yet?" and was told yes. Then restated the computer myself and it worked. It is amazing how many people think turning their monitor off restarts their computer, or closing the lid on a laptop then opening it again restarts it as well. Don't even get me started about sleep mode or Mac users who think they never have to restart their systems for any reason.
