Anyone notice a screen haze that is using a screen protector. My wife got one for her epic and they put it on at the store. There is some haze/pixelization going on now with the screen. It sucks to have such an amazing screen be distorted by a screen protector, just curious if this is normal?

Screen protector for this perticular phone may be a waste of money, it's screen is protected by Gorilla glass, although I did opt for a case since drops and body scratches are still a threat.

I noticed and thought it was my bad eye site.

My wife got the and we noticed the same thing- hazy screen. She even requested the clear screen protector (2 clear and 1 anti-glare came in package) be put on to not blurr the beautiful screen.

Interesting my EVO does not look blurry with screen protector on.

Sent from my Sprint EVO using Tapatalk Pro

I decided to just take the screen protector off. It was too uncomforting to know how awesome this screen is and have it be distorted by the screen protector.

Had the same thing, took that ***** off real quick. Its gorilla glass so i will take my chances:)

I got mine at Sprint which is probably the same protector. I pulled mine off after several hours for just this reason. It was a waste to have such a beautiful screen, but haze making it look like it was a low end smartphone. I might, though, get the invisible shield- they normally are very clear and well worth the money.

I wouldn't get an invisible shield unless you're planning on cutting off the bottons on the bottom. People are stating that it interferes with the capacitive buttons. Mine are responsive, so I'm just going to baby it for a while.

We bought the Sprint anti-glare protectors yesterday, but have not installed. Does anybody have any experience with them?

some screen protectors ( the ones that require moisture to install well like Invisishield will have a hazy look for the 1st day or so until they dry.

YES! The funny part is that the anti-glare screen actually reduces glare less than the Super AMOLED itself! I find that kind of ironic. It's completely normal by the way, however, I have not tested the crystal clear screen protectors.

So what can I do to keep my screen from being scratch, other than the obvious stuff, such as not putting my keys in the same pocket as the phone?

Is there any screen protector that will provide protection with out diminishing my view of the screen?

Zagg invisibleSHIELD... Not a fan! Yes they need to setup for a 24 hour period to look good, but they will still have a certain "wave" is the only way I can describe it and they also have a bit of haze. Just not as clear as they should be. Honestly I can't understand how they've gotten so popular over at Best Buy.

My first Epic had an issue after I got it home and I took it back, the invisibleSHIELD that was on it was installed very well from BB and it looked good. The second Epic I got, the person didn't put it on quite as well, he had to pull it up during the installation and put the protector back down. I could tell it wasn't going to look as good as the first, which I was already on the fence about.

I'm going to try one of these Seidio ones when they come out but in the meantime I'm using some old Fellows WriteRight universal protectors I had in a draw here. Now the fellows I put on does have some micro scratches already from installation but when the phone is on they are not visible and I'm happier with the over all appearance than I was with the higher dollar Zagg product.

;)
