Screen in the Sun: The visible touch lines bother me!

The dotted touch screen lines are so prominent in the sun. I have had many other phones and never noticed these before on any other phone. Is it just me? Does the HTC One suffer from this too?

I can't see them at when the display is on, which is all that should matter really. Can you see the grid on your device when the display is on? I can't speak for the HTC One, but I do know that my old HTC View 7" tablet did show the digitizer grid when the screen was off and in certain light.

Yes, but it's only visible in pretty direct sunlight. It's pretty bad once you see it. Inside I don't see it at all.

Its not just sunlight that makes the grid visible, it depends on angle indoor lights will make it visible too, and even when the screen is displaying something with a lot of black the lines are visible, bothered me at first too but given how much I like the phone otherwise I decided to live with it. Is anyone else's experience about the lines different? Are they not visible even on black scenes for others?

Same here. Nada, and I'm anal about my display as well. I've had nothing but praise for the display on the G2. LG has done a wonderful job. I've tried to see what you're talking about but can't find any. I've taken it outside here and the sun is directly overhead. I've cranked the brightness all the way up, all the way down, and some in the middle range. I've tried viewing it from different angles. Can't see it I know what you're talking about though as I've dissected quite a few phones before while replacing parts. I'll keep trying.

I get the grid in direct sunlight. I also see them at certain angles in doors with certain light when the screen is off. I don't see them while using the phone so no sweat for me.

I know this is an old thread, but i just got my second LG G2, and i can see them indoors fairly easily at certain angles, I didn't see them on my first phone that had a broken antenna. Sucks, but i do like the phone over all
