Screen Issue when plugged in?

My S5 screen is non-responsive if it's locked and plugged in and I try to use it. I can use the fingerprint recognition to get logged in, but once in the screen is totally non-scrollable / non-responsive. The buttons work, however. To get it to work, I have to unplug it... then lock and unlock it and get back in and it's fine. This is repeatable.

If already logged in and I plug it in, the screen is fine.

Does this happen for everyone else or is there a problem with just my phone?

Can someone at least confirm whether this scenario happens on their phone? I need to know whether my S5 is defective in some way.

This is an issue for me because I use my phone usually plugged in at work and it will be a hassle I have to keep unplugging it once the screen locks.

This isn't normal. Try restoring the phone. If that doesn't work get a replacement.

It is not normal however, after two days like puremeerkat said....restore the phone ???? .... heck no....... I go back and get a new one.... you should have at least 14 or 15 days depending on your carrier to exchange for a new one......... restoring means ....re setting it the was you want it..........
