Screen locked

I set screen lock after my 4 yr old messed with my phone then completely forgot the password, I need to by pass my screen lock without hard reset. Tried gmail and tried enter passwords 30+ times, nothing works so far. GPS locator is turned off on the phone, so neither gmail nor Samsung.com can unlock...

Please help

Welcome to Android Central! How complex was the password you picked? Passwords are such crucial pieces of information that you really need to pick one that you can remember, or else write them down somewhere secure. I'd suggest bringing your phone to your wireless store and see if they can assist.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have called T-Mobile Tech Support; they told me I have to hard reset. Just hoping there is a way to avoid it.
